We're Eli and Nir - developers by profession, coffee overdrinkers by choice.
In 2025, we took a road trip from Italy to Germany, stopping at small roasteries along the way. It completely changed how we thought about coffee.
Now we're bringing some of those coffees to Copenhagen, mostly because we want to drink them again - and it feels nicer to share.

Why we chose them
After a very generous Manhattan month, we're going tighter this time: three coffees, three completely different reasons to drink them. One you'll finish without thinking, one that will make you stop mid-sip, and one that costs what it costs because it genuinely is that good. Southern Europe roasts differently than the Nordics do - a touch rounder, a touch sweeter - and we think it's a nice change of pace going into autumn.
About
Nomad Coffee started in 2011 as a one-man coffee cart run by Jordi Mestre, who had just come back to Barcelona after two years behind the bar in some of London's best coffee shops. In 2014 he opened the Coffee Lab & Shop and pretty much single-handedly kicked off third-wave coffee in the city.
Today they roast out of Poblenou and ship to more than 45 countries, but the sourcing instinct hasn't changed: high-altitude single origins, bought on flavour, roasted light and clean. They also run The Coffee Academy and the Silent Barista project, which trains deaf baristas - the kind of thing that tells you what a roastery actually cares about.
